Role Summary

You will lead efforts to deeply understand our users through rigorous research methodologies, ensuring that these insights directly inform product enhancements and roadmap priorities. Additionally, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of these enhancements, working closely with both technical teams and customer-facing units to ensure that our solutions not only meet but also exceed client expectations. Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Insight and User Research:

- Conduct User Research: Perform detailed user research to deeply understand client needs and market trends.
- Translate Insights into Action: Use gathered insights to advocate for and guide customer-centric product developments and improvements.
- Enhance Customer Understanding: Help the product and sales teams understand customer behaviors and preferences for better targeting and product alignment.

Product Roadmap Collaboration:

- Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with the engineering team and Chief Innovation Officer to shape the product's future development.
- Influence Product Strategy: Provide insights from customer feedback and market research to influence the product roadmap.
- Ensure Relevance and Innovation: Ensure the roadmap reflects evolving market and customer needs, incorporating innovation and emerging trends.

Daily Operations and Delivery:

- Monitor Project Execution: Oversee daily operations to ensure projects meet timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Align Projects with Objectives: Ensure all project elements are aligned with broader business and strategic objectives.
- Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Encourage collaboration across engineering and customer-facing teams to streamline project delivery and increase efficiency.

Strategic Sales Alignment:

- Serve as a Liaison: Act as the critical interface between sales and engineering teams to ensure coherent messaging and product representation.
- Enforce Product Integrity: Provide feedback and potentially pushback on sales strategies to ensure the capabilities or intended use of Collective are represented accurately.
- Guide Sales Practices: Align sales activities with the platform's actual capabilities and strategic market positioning.

Customer Engagement:

- Maintain Active Customer Contact: Engage regularly with customers to gather ongoing feedback and foster strong relationships.
- Integrate Customer Feedback: Systematically integrate customer feedback into product development and business strategies.
- Boost Customer Satisfaction: Proactively address customer concerns and suggestions, enhancing overall satisfaction and product-market fit.

Requirements

Work Experience:

- Proven Track Record: Experience in product delivery, product development, agile delivery, project management with a strong product focus, or a similar role within a nimble scale-up environment.

- Strategic Partnerships: Demonstrated experience working closely with CEOs/Founders, C-suite members, and operationalising a company's product vision.

- Team Building: A history of building high-performance teams and fostering a positive, results-driven culture.

- Startup/Scale-up Dynamics: Familiarity with the challenges and pace of fast-paced, highly commercial startup or scale-up environments.

- New Commercial Projects: Experience in developing and supporting new commercial projects, from conception through to market launch and post-launch support.

- Research Expertise: Strong background in conducting user research and market research, with a proven ability to translate findings into strategic product initiatives.

Skills & Abilities:

- Engineering Background: Solid engineering foundation with experience in creating and delivering 0-1 products, demonstrating the ability to bring new ideas from concept to market.

- Project and Agile Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability in managing projects and driving agile methodologies within technology teams.

- Research Proficiency: Expertise in conducting both user and market research, capable of deriving actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.

- Commercial Project Development: Experience in initiating and leading new commercial projects, with a focus on innovation and market introduction.

- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven success in managing expectations and interacting with high-level stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
