Role Summary

The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment with product goals and driving technical excellence.

This role involves mentoring engineers, managing budgets, and fostering collaboration across teams.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Engineering and Product teams to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Duties & Responsibilities

Team Management and Mentorship

- Oversee and manage multiple engineering teams, providing mentorship and guidance for professional growth.
- Ensure alignment between engineering teams and product goals through regular communication and collaboration.

Budget Management

- Work with the Head of Engineering to manage project budgets and ensure financial targets are met.

Collaboration and Alignment

- Drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering and product teams to align on technical requirements and deliverables.
- Contribute to sprint planning processes, providing engineering input to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Recruitment and Team Building

- Lead the recruitment process for new engineers, ensuring a strong pipeline of talent is maintained.
- Foster a positive team culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Role Requirements

Work Experience

- Proven experience in managing multiple engineering teams within an agile environment.
- Strong background in software development with a focus on AI technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and drive professional growth within the organisation.
- Experience in budget management and financial planning for technical projects.
- Successful track record of fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Skills & Abilities

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex technical concepts.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building and mentorship.
- Proficiency in agile methodologies and their application in software development.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their integration into enterprise solutions.
