As a result of the pandemic, more people than ever before are now vulnerable to homelessness, with figures showing deaths have risen for the fifth consecutive year. Therefore, to reduce these statistics and to end homelessness in the long run, the Venture Studio has created a number of strategies which will shape this movement and make these goals achievable.

The Venture Studio will be at the forefront of providing knowledge, experience, funding and technical expertise to assist businesses in building technical solutions that prevent or directly end homelessness. They’re actively looking to invest in solutions that improve access to housing, finance, healthcare and wellbeing services or provide new pathways to employment; recognising that some of these solutions won’t currently be targeted at those at risk of or experiencing homelessness yet.

In addition to investing in these types of solutions, the Venture Studio will be developing its own ventures; including working with housing providers to make securing a home more affordable for everyone.

To achieve this, Crisis is actively looking for partnerships and investors to support and fund this initiative, and we're are delighted to offer our support by sharing our expertise within identifying solutions from our community of innovators as well delivering technical due diligence and design support for the chosen teams.

Andrew Webber, Chief Marketing Officer at Whitespace says, “We’re proud to be helping Crisis find and scale the solutions that will prove most effective in accelerating the end of homelessness.’’
