Whitespace announces another collaboration agreement, this time it's with Sideways 6!
We’re pleased to announce that we have partnered with global energy company Shell and IBM to support the launch and execution of the Shell Digitalisation Innovation Challenge!
What’s the challenge and how did it come about?
Last December we ran a set of remote workshops alongside the Shell and IBM teams which highlighted the problems that Shell were experiencing, and explored new ways of digitising the companies current paper-based gift voucher process by introducing a solution that enables them to distribute and track gift vouchers, collect data to generate insights and reduce costs. On the back of those sessions our teams created the challenge statement which will go onto to support the search for the best tech to solve this problem.
What are the next steps?
Over the next 6 weeks, our Innovation Challenge Outreach team kicks into action as we search for the most talented and ambitious startups and SMEs to put forward their proposed application solution to solve this challenge.
What’s the outcome?
Following a two stage down selection process, the most impactful applicant will be put through their paces via an internal pitch event with the winner getting the chance to work with Shell and IBM on a “proof-of-concept” project in the UK.
Andrew Webber, Chief Marketing Officer at Whitespace, says: “We are extremely passionate about supporting collaborative innovation amongst ambitious technology providers, especially those who have yet to share their full potential with the world. It fills us with confidence that Shell and IBM share our vision and we look forward to the creative results from this challenge.”
Watch this space for our next update as we begin down selection!
Do you have a digital voucher solution? If you have the solution that Shell are looking for then it will need to be compatible with mobile devices and capable of customer data collection, as well as offering proven capabilities and an example of the previous deployment in a retail setting. The entrant must also be a UK registered company.
